Kaiteki Institute Inc and Bifrostec showed that how a headphone can be utilized to gauge the performance of heart. Simple phenomenon was to use slight changes in pair pressure in the ear canal to detect the heart rate.
A device that cost mere $8 can be attached with any smartphone and with a software installed within the smartphone heart rate and activity can easily be experienced.
A Bifrostec representative said, “There are many people who listen to music while jogging… with the new technology, it becomes possible to measure their pulse waves without any special effort.”
